Job Description
GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
The Warehouse and Inventory Supervisor is responsible for supporting a team that manages shipping, receiving supplies, performing incoming quality inspections, managing inventory, conducting cycle counting, and providing general facilities support in order to ensure continuation of daily business operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
The Warehouse and Inventory Supervisor shall:
Oversee a team of material handlers/inventory specialists
Be able to lead and motivate a team, set, goals, and perform the team's tasks where necessary
Coach, develop, and evaluate staff performance, drive continuous department improvement, and ensure all established work instructions, standard operating procedures, and product specifications are consistently followed
Implement process improvements across all areas of responsibility
Be able to implement a flow strategy for the warehouse that optimizes storage locations, limits obstacles, and ensures the best flow of product to the laboratory
Support the materials handlers/inventory specialists' team in maintaining an organized and clean warehouse.
Perform duties and responsibilities in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and in compliance with all applicable regulatory and accrediting agencies, including the requirements of the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) and the Food & Drug Administration
Work closely with the Purchasing Manager to ensure accurate physical inventory counts, update purchasing volumes, maintain correct levels of stock in the lab and warehouse with a strategic flow of materials into the lab, and with general purchasing and receiving duties as appropriate
Manage inventory in accordance with "First-In, First-Out" principles to promote efficiency and waste reduction
Perform general facility-related duties including, but not limited to, the cleaning of laboratory areas, minor facility repairs, and overall monitoring of the facility
Meet basic expectations of Eurofins DPT's quality management system, including, but not limited to, good workmanship, adherence to standard operating procedures, training, good documentation practices, and accurate recordkeeping
Ensure that Inventory and Material Handler operating procedures are kept up to date, and the relevant team members are appropriately trained and knowledgeable in the procedures
Distribute and document technical procedures to support inventory and material handling
Have high integrity and demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interface with other departments in a team environment
ON-CALL COVERAGE
The Warehouse and Inventory Supervisor will be On-Call for 17 weeks a year, supporting any laboratory needs or issues after hours/on weekends.
The Warehouse and Inventory Supervisor will be fully trained before assuming On-Call responsibilities.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Minimum 3+years of inventory or warehouse experience.
Related supply chain and/or equipment certifications preferred, but not required.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and documentation practices
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 3+years of inventory or warehouse experience preferred, but not required.
Experience with inventory management, materials receiving, and warehouse strategy.
Ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Effective time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments to support operations, purchasing, finance, and quality.
Ability to work in controlled environments utilizing aseptic techniques.
Ability to work within Quality systems under regulatory requirements.

This laboratory carefully maintains all hazardous materials. All employees must abide by Eurofins DPT's Safety and Exposure procedures. This includes using the provided safety clothing and equipment.
