Our client is seeking a seasoned Sr. Developer to join their dynamic team. This role is integral to the Fulfilment, Availability, and Button State team, responsible for providing crucial information across the client's site. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in developing Micro-services and J2EE applications, with a keen focus on performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Micro-services and J2EE applications using Java 8, Java 11, Java 17, Groovy, Spring Boot, and Spring JPA.
- Configure and develop a Java Rest service that produces/consumes messages from Apache Kafka.
- Use Docker Container to dockize Java applications and spin up services locally.
- Implement caching mechanisms like EHCache, Redis, or Memcached.
- Test web services using Postman and code quality using SonarQube/Check Marx.
- Use UNIX commands for installations and configurations in dev environments.
- Set up pipelines using GitHub actions.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a developer.
- Proficiency in Spring, Java, REST services, Kafka, and writing test cases.
- Experience with Oracle, Cassandra, and version control tool like GitHub.
- Comfortable with UNIX commands and using development IDE's like IntelliJ/Eclipse.
- Experience in using build tools like Maven and Gradle.
- Knowledge in writing Test Cases with JUnit and Spock, logging using Log4J and SL4J.
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to adapt to any new technology.
- Experience in continuous integration using GitHub actions.
- Experience in GCP Functions.
