We are currently hiring a Physician (Pediatrics) to join our team of healthcare professionals providing services to Military Service Members and their families at Naval Hospital Twentynine Palms, CA.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8.5-hour shifts (including an uncompensated 30-minute meal break), between 6:00 AM - 8:00 PM
Requirements:
Degree: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from an accredited medical school in the U.S. or Canada.
Internship/Residency: Successful completion of an accredited internship and residency program in Pediatrics.
Experience: Clinical competency within the past two years in Pediatrics, with at least 32 hours of patient treatment within the specialty in the last 24 months.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
Licensure: Active, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine as a Pediatrician.
Board Certification: American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
Continuing Medical Education (CME): Documentation required within one month of CME-accredited events.
Job Responsibilities:
Perform a full range of physician services as per privileges granted by the Medical Treatment Facility.
Provide preventive care, health maintenance, and annual physicals, including patient education and counseling.
Diagnose, treat, and prescribe within your scope of training and privileges.
Order diagnostic tests and refer patients as necessary.
Teach and mentor medical staff and provide in-service training and educational lectures adhering to clinical protocols and standards.
