Overview
Clinical Activities (not related to teaching or research): Plans and supervises student clinical experiences or practice based on teaching assignment. Works with the team to create and implement street nursing clinical curriculum for undergraduate nursing students.
Precepts undergraduate students during experiential learning activities using the street classroom approach.
Monitors academic progress of students.
Partners with community members and organizations on population health educational and quality improvement initiatives for undergraduate students, staff at partnering agencies, and members of the unhoused community.
Alongside students, assists community members in accessing telehealth care, and works with community partners in care coordination.
Partners with the grant team and colleagues to implement grant activities and achieve grant goals.
Partners with Project Manager and community member and organizations to disseminate grant related research/scholarship.
Other Activities: The appointee provides services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university’s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.
Responsibilities
Education: (Degree dependent on academic program type and rank of position.
Assistant Professor: MSN/DNP or equivalent
Registrations, Certifications and/or Licenses:(Current licensure & certifications could be required depending on position and academic program.)
Oregon RN license
BLS
Experience: (Experience dependent on academic program type and rank of position.)
3 years of clinical practice experience required; Teaching experience at the BSN level preferred
Qualifications
Interest and experience with teaching and advising students.
Experience working with the unhoused population preferred.
Knowledge of trauma informed approaches and harm reduction preferred.
Previous work in wound care, mental health, substance use disorder, or care coordination are preferred.
