Overview

Intelligent Waves is looking for a talented Fullstack Developer to join our team in Reston, VA. In this role, you'll collaborate with a dynamic development team to create innovative software solutions for unconventional warfare clients, focusing on user-centric design. You'll partner with UI/UX designers to craft seamless user experiences using frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue, and work alongside back-end developers to build robust web services. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to both frontend and backend development within a highly impactful environment. .

Travel: None

Location: Reston, VA. Will work as part of an overall team to provide needed coverage and support with some possible remote work capability according to mission schedules.

Security Clearance: Must be a United States Citizen and hold a current TS-SCI or TS with SCI eligibility security clearance.

Employees are required to follow all company and customer site COVID-19 protocols.

Responsibilities

As a full-stack developer, you can solve a problem with a complete end-to-end solution in a fast-paced and Agile environment. Were looking for a developer with the advanced skills needed to build an application from vision to production ready.

This role is more than just coding. We need a full-stack developer who will use their passion to learn new tools and techniques, identify and implement system improvements, and mentor teammates. On our team, youll help customers overcome their most difficult challenges using the latest architectural approaches. Youll analyze the needs and the environment to make sure the solution youre developing considers the architecture and operating environment, including future functionality and enhancements.

Qualifications

Required:

• 5+ years of experience with software development
• Experience with back-end development
• Experience with TypeScript or JavaScript
• Experience with Node.js JavaScript runtime environment and the Express framework
• Experience with SQL syntax and queries
• Experience with API development including REST architectures
• Knowledge of Agile methodology
• DoD 8570 Compliant Security+ or CISSP certification
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

Desired:

• 3+ years of experience with developing backend software applications/services
• 2+ years of experience with developing in a microservices architecture
• Experience with React, Next.js
• Experience with testing frameworks and code quality tools, such as Jest and SonarQube
• Experience with user authentication workflows, including OAuth 2.0 framework and OpenID Connect
• Experience with Object-Relational Mapping (ORM) packages, such as Sequelize
• Knowledge of JIRA, Git, GitLab
• Ability to understand user requirements
• Ability to investigate root causes and provide corrective actions
