About the Role

As the Global Head of Media Relations, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive global media strategy that elevates Schneider Electric's brand reputation and drives positive media coverage. You will lead a global team of media relations professionals and work closely with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure consistent messaging and proactive media outreach.

Key Responsibilities


  • Strategy Development: Create and execute a global media strategy that aligns with Schneider Electric's business objectives and brand positioning. Facilitate coordination and collaboration with PR teams across various countries and regions.

  • Media Relations: Establish and nurture strong relationships with key tier-one global media outlets, journalists, and influencers. Direct responsibility for overseeing, managing relationships, and developing strategies with global tier-one media outlets.

  • Executive Visibility: Position Schneider Electric's executive leadership team as thought leaders in the industry through proactive media outreach.

  • Measurement and Reporting: Track and analyze media coverage, measure key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular reports on the effectiveness of media relations efforts.

  • Leadership: Lead and mentor a global team of direct reports, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.


Qualifications and Experience


  • Proven track record in leading global media relations teams and executing successful media campaigns.

  • Deep understanding of the energy sector, including key trends and challenges.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with media, executives, and internal stakeholders.

  • Established tier-1 global media relationships, preferably in the energy, climate, and sustainability sectors

  • Strong crisis communications experience, including the ability to think quickly and decisively under pressure.

  • Experience in managing complex projects and budgets.

  • Fluency in English, with additional language skills a plus.

For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $200,320 - $300,480 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Schneider Electric also offers a comprehensive benefits package to support our employees, inclusive of medical (with member reward points), dental, vision, and basic life insurance, Benefit Bucks (credits to apply towards your benefits) flexible work arrangements, paid family leaves, 401(k) + match, well-being and recognition (including service anniversary) programs, 12 holidays per year, 20 days of paid time off per year (pro-rated in the first year of employment based on start date) , opportunity to purchase company stock (eligibility depends on start date), and military leave benefits.
