Job Description:

Position Summary: The Order Release Specialist is responsible for reviewing, processing, and releasing customer orders within the accounting department. The ideal candidate will work closely with the sales, logistics, and accounting teams to ensure smooth order flow. He/she will follow Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and company practices. 

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities: Release orders in the accounting system, ensuring all transactions are properly handled. Collaborate with the credit and collections team to ensure orders are appropriate to release. Monitor order status and assist in resolving issues related to Accounting. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and financial controls. Prepare and maintain reports on order status, including any order delays or issues impacting revenue. Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes related to order processing. Work with the collections team to resolve payment issues related to released orders. Ad hoc duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Core Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent work experience). 2+ years of experience in order processing, accounting, or related roles. Strong understanding of accounting principles, order management, and revenue recognition. Proficient in ERP system and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex order-related issues. Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices in order management and accounting is a plus. Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and interact effectively in a team environment. Permanent work authorization for the USA required. 

Core Competencies: Computer literate/friendly, strong work ethic, attention to detail. Comfortable working in Excel. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Performance Standards: Measurements in the areas of attendance, productivity, internal and external customer relationships.
