Job Details:



This position is responsible for setting up and operating the mechanical dumper while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.


These openings require standing for long periods of time, lifting up to 50 pounds, shoveling, climbing stairs and ladders up to 60 feet, bending, stretching, reaching, working in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors. Must be able to use basic hand tools and perform basic mechanical and maintenance functions. Maintain clean work area by use of soap and high pressure hose. Must be able to read and complete required logs. Must be able to communicate with supervisor and co-workers via two-way radio. May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. May be required to operate frontend loader or forklift and will be required to obtain certification to do so. The employee must regularly lift and / or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/ or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and / or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:


The work environmental characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and / or humid conditions; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; extreme heat; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.

Must have at least 1 year continuous employment at your most recent job.
