Reporting to the Sr Director of Finance, this position is responsible for leading all aspects of commercial finance analytics and data science for Laboratory Chemicals Division (LCD). Key responsibilities include driving the financial performance of the business by providing financial insights, analysis, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making. This role will involve collaborating closely with various departments, including sales, marketing, and sales operations, to ensure alignment with financial goals and objectives. Additionally, the role will leverage data analytics to improve financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead analytical aspects of divisional booking and revenue processes across the LCD. Analyze financial data and provide insights to senior management regarding business trends, financial performance, and potential areas for improvement
Establish efficient and effective processes that drive quality and accuracy.
Deliver useful business insights through sophisticated analytics and data visualization capabilities
Drive effective prioritization to deliver on critical growth strategies, process automation; enable proactive analytics and strategic commercial discussions
Act as a trusted business partner to commercial leaders and create an environment to both challenge and support commercial leaders with sound financial guidance and strategic insights; suggest corrective actions
Develop and maintain financial models for revenue forecasting and proactive actionable analytics to drive the business
Prepare and present monthly reviews and QBR's; supporting commercial leadership in identifying actions to improve the business
Drive the AOP planning process in collaboration with the Commercial leaders, Marketing and Sales Operations teams
Utilize data analytics tools and techniques to gather, analyze, and interpret large datasets to inform decision-making
Complete special projects as requested
Qualifications:
An undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or related field is required; MBA preferred
A minimum of 7 years of progressive finance experience and modelling / forecasting activities.
Proven track record delivering exceptional results through an impactful team and getting results beyond the finance function
Outstanding leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
Exceptional analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Strong systems and data analytic capabilities including HFM, Power BI /Tableau, SQL, SFDC
