We are now hiring for a Pulse Ox Technician! A Pulse Ox Technician is responsible for sorting, preparation and cleaning of Pulse Oximeters, as well as completion of all associated documentation at the Medline ReNewal plant in Redmond, Oregon. All work performed must comply with Medline ReNewal’s standard operating procedures as well as FDA guidelines to ensure patient safety.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Receive containers of devices from receiving team and confirm all necessary paperwork present
Dis-assemble, pre-clean and sort incoming devices by part numbers in a safe manner
Take appropriate steps to decontaminate devices which may be one or more of the following; Use chemical bath to sanitize and loosen debris, Load devices into baskets and place in rinse bath to remove leftover chemicals
Clean and dry devices using approved equipment
Reject devices if it does not meet reprocessing requirements/standards
Assemble and package devices to prepare for shipping
Prepare daily reports to track production data
Assist other departments as needed to ensure production output meets or exceeds goals
Other duties as assigned
Essential Functions of the Job:
Count devices and weigh baskets of devices to match to order records (PCR’s) several times per batch; when preparing a batch of devices to be processed and when completed and prepared for shipping.
Compare all data to ensure that items being processed are an exact match to computer and paper records; use data on computer and paper records to obtain information about devices to be able to identify appropriate next steps in sterilization process.
Place batches of devices in pre-conditioning machines for specified duration to prepare for sterilization.
Move batches of devices into sterilizers for specified duration at settings designated by the order records (PCR’s).
Remove and place items into aeration area for specified duration to clear devices of Ethylene Oxide; when complete, weigh canister and ensure that counts of devices/batches against paper and computer work orders are exact matches to finalize the process.
Deliver items to shipping department for further handling.
While items are in pre-conditioner, sterilizer or aeration, there are blocks of time that employees in this position are required to support other department in their tasks.

Required Qualifications:
Must be able to communicate in basic English with management and co-workers (Speak and basic reading ability required)
Sit or stand for 10 hour shifts with appropriate meal and rest breaks
Work in a room with washing machines, dryers, racks, tables, and limited room for movement
Work in a room with continuous moderate to high level of noise
Lift, push, or pull batches of devices averaging 50 lbs up to 50 times per day
Perform repetitive tasks, some of which are small motion tasks through the entire shift
Focused and detail oriented to be able to identify product discrepancies or flaws and take appropriate action
Preferred Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Any prior work experience in a manufacturing role is preferred
