Grain Processing Corporation (GPC), a member of the KENT® Corporation family of companies, has a new opportunity to join their Sales Administration team as a Documentation Specialist! This critical role, reporting to the Manager of Sales Administration, is responsible for fulfilling technical customer requests, along with executing policies governing the collection and maintenance of technical documentation.


  • This position is designed and intended to be performed in Muscatine, IA.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Supports Sales, Technical Services, Quality, Regulatory, and Production departments by collecting and maintaining specifications, SOPs, and other forms of technical documentation stored and maintained internally and in third party document portals.

  • Manages technical customer inquiries; requires vetting legitimacy, collaborating with applicable internal subject matter experts per business unit, consolidating responses, transmitting, and archiving.

  • Provides excellent customer service skills while managing complex requests in a timely manner.

  • Implements standards dictating the accuracy of documentation and completeness of files and processes for investigating and resolving discrepancies.

  • Ensures compliance with document retention and destruction schedules in accordance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Enforces processes for document approval, distribution, modification, and archiving.

  • Administers electronic document/record management and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.

  • Administers customer sampling processes and documentation requirements.

  • Files and fills various state and federal registrations for various product offerings.

  • Process Capital Expenditure Reports (CERs).

  • Provides responses to customer audits and participate to planned audit exercises.

  • Participates in various customer onboarding and renewal processes.

  • Provides excellent documentation, organization, and communication to all levels in the organization.

  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE


  • Having an AA/AS is required, with a BA/BS preferred.

  • Having a minimum 3 years of relevant experience is required, with 5+ years of relevant experience preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS


  • Has a solid working knowledge of technical document fulfillment.

  • Is a self-starter with strong time-management skills, detail-oriented and attentive to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all responsibilities.


LOCATION & TRAVEL


  • This position is designed and intended to be performed in Muscatine, Iowa.

  • Travel is minimal (0-10%)
