Description of Work:

The Department of Political Science at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln seeks a tenure-track assistant professor in the area of Race and Ethnic Politics. The position is open with respect to particular subfields, though candidates with an interest in or research focus in public policy are especially encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will contribute to the department's undergraduate and graduate curriculum, including coursework related to race and ethnic politics/public policy, support and contribute to the department's research mission, and undertake service contributions commensurate with position and rank.

Minimum Required Qualifications:



  • Ph.D. in political science, public policy or a related field. The Ph.D. must be in hand by August 18, 2025.

  • Demonstrated record of scholarship in Race and Ethnic Politics.

  • Documented experience and/or interest in teaching courses in Race and Ethnic Politics.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Research interests in public policy.

  • Experience teaching public policy process and public policy evaluation courses.
