Applicants must have Masters in Computer Science or related field; strong working knowledge of core computer science concepts including data structures, software engineering, operating systems and computer architecture.
PHD Teaching experience and research at the university level; industry experience; administrative experience and committee work at the university level; experience developing an application from design to publication.
Teach Computer Science classes. Work with members of the department to ensure teaching objectives match program objectives and students are able to transition from lower level to upper level course work.
Responsible for the safety of others. Must exercise due caution and practice safe work habits at all times. Position is Security Sensitive.
Salary Detail:Masters Degree under 20 students $850/credit or $2,550 per 3 SCHMasters Degree over 20 students $500 extraPh.D. under 20 students $900/credit or $2,700 per 3 SCHPh.D. over 20 students $500 extraSummer Faculty $4,200 (Per 3 SCH) max 6 SCH per session, prorated for fewer than 10 students
Summer courses above the max 6 SCH are paid at the overload rate of $2,130
Texas Law requires a 60 day waiting period before new state employees are eligible to enroll in health insurance.
