Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes and systems to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure product quality.
Analyze existing processes and identify areas for improvement, using tools such as Lean Six Sigma, FMEA, or statistical process control.
Investigate process failures or inefficiencies and provide corrective actions to ensure the smooth operation of production systems.
Work closely with other departments (e.g., R&D, quality, and production) to ensure processes align with company objectives and product specifications.
Oversee the selection, implementation, and maintenance of production equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
Ensure that all processes comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
Identify opportunities to reduce costs through process improvements, energy conservation, or waste reduction.
Collect and analyze data to track process performance and generate reports to communicate findings to stakeholders.
Provide training to staff on new processes, equipment, and best practices to maintain operational efficiency.
Prepare and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, control plans, and process flow diagrams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (mechanical, industrial, or a related field).
2+ years' experience as a process engineer in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Ability to persuade others to change existing practices
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of environmental and safety regulations in manufacturing.
Familiarity with process modeling software (e.g., AutoCAD, simulation software, or similar tools).
Proficiency with Minitab, Tableau, or other statistical analysis software.
