Summary



Are you ready to lead a team of Enterprise Software Product Sales Specialists within our Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division? Join us in helping customers embrace digital transformation and redefine industries like healthcare and environmental protection.


This role is remotely located throughout the US.


What will you do?




  • Mentor and guide a team of product sales specialists passionate about Enterprise Software widely used in laboratories, such as Chromatography Data Systems.

  • Drive commercial sales of Enterprise Software within an assigned geographical sales territory.

  • Encourage and motivate the broader commercial organization. Highlight the value Enterprise Software provides to our customers.

  • Provide forecasts and proactively manage the pipeline of Enterprise Software opportunities.

  • Support our teams in connecting with senior decision makers and promoting Thermo Fisher Scientific Enterprise Software Solutions. This includes analytical technologies like Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry, used in QC and R&D across various industries.


Education





  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a Scientific or Information Technology field, or relevant experience.

  • Equivalent experience in business or a related field is a plus.


Experience





  • 7+ years of experience selling scientific software and/or capital equipment into markets such as Pharma, Life Sciences, Mining, Chemical, Oil and Gas, Environmental Food & Beverage, or Government Agencies.

  • Industry experience within laboratory environments and of working with scientific software, especially for chromatography, mass spectrometry, or other analytical technology.

  • Leadership experience and/or experience mentoring, coaching, inspiring, motivating, and developing others.

  • Used to working to ambitious quarterly and annual targets.

  • Confident communicator, able to present to senior decision makers our innovative software solutions that drive greater efficiencies.

  • Knowledge of analytical technologies such as gas and liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry.

  • Strong understanding of business and commercial competence.

  • An interest in contemporary IT trends such as cloud infrastructure and passionate about how digital technologies can help solve problems.

  • Strong negotiation skills.

  • Willingness to travel 50% or greater of working time over any 1-year period.
