Position Summary

Successful candidates will teach both undergraduate and master's courses in statistics and probability, will work with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and coordinate courses, will mentor and supervise graduate assistants and instructors, and will join a large and active group of teaching faculty focused on excellence in instruction in the statistical and mathematical sciences. Depending on candidate expertise and interests, teaching courses in the Actuarial Science and Quantitative Risk Analysis Programs may also be part of the position.

This is a one-year position, with likely renewal assuming excellent performance.

Minimum Requirements


  • Candidates must have a Master or Doctoral degree in Statistics, Mathematics or closely related field is required.

  • Must have demonstrated instructional excellence in undergraduate statistics, and knowledge of or experience with student-centered pedagogical methods.

  • Must have the ability to teach undergraduate statistics courses and some masters courses.
