We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled iCMC Digital Transformation Program leader.
As a strong leader with global program leadership experience and digital technical expertise, with both CMC domain knowledge and Digital Transformation experience, you will define, lead and execute our digital transformation roadmap for the development labs across CMC, MSAT, and VRD (VCDS and mRNA CoE).
The owner of the position will build and execute the strategic vision for digitalization of the CMC space covering the R&D/M&S value chain from early process development (PCS) to post-launch product Life Cycle Management (LCM). She/he will set strategic priorities and lead innovation with the global transversal team spanning across the entire CMC scope. It is his/her responsibility to lead the cross-functional iCMC Digital Transformation community with the iCMC Digital Transformation Program Core Team to execute the iCMC digital roadmap in Agile at scale methodology. The new head of iCMC Digital Transformation Program will be part of the global CMC organization, but will be acting clearly cross functionally between R&D and M&S. The successful candidate will be involved in cross functional activities, managing large matrix teams across the international Sanofi footprint, reporting progress to Sr stakeholders from CMC/VRD/MSAT functions.
The iCMC Digital Transformation Program has the vision to build competitive CMC capabilities and enable a digital continuum for R&D and M&S data. It is a unique program to implement an ambitious Digital Transformation across process development activities in R&D and M&S, with over 2,500 targeted users. The iCMC Digital Transformation program is implementing cutting edge digital technologies to build our next generation of data centralization and data consumption platforms.

Digitized intra- & inter-laboratory workflows enable dataflows across all CMC and ensure data accessibility and integrity

Main Responsibilities:
Lead the global iCMC Digital Transformation Program covering data capture (iLab), data transformation and data insight (Advanced Analytics) together with your Digital program lead counterpart using the agile-at-scale framework
Lead the global transversal team structured by sub-workstreams (factories) and global teams of scientists, digital experts, project managers and external contractors
Develop digitalization strategies, implement related roadmaps and track execution according to plan. Ensure timely implementation of iLab within non-GMP and GMP labs in order to develop innovative, competitive, cost-efficient, sustainable digital environment for our labs in the CMC network.
Ensure development and industrialization of existing and new Advanced Analytics solutions to support lab scientists, delivering AI/ML and Modeling solutions to support process development timeline accelerations, process optimization and process robustness
Support continuous improvements of the existing iLab solution to ensure full adoption, with a robust Change Management strategy.
Lead and further develop the cross-functional iCMC Digital Transformation community in R&D and M&S to secure sustainability of the Core platforms deployed by the program
Lead the efforts to deploy core data workflows across all lab families by developing methods/templates, connecting equipment and consuming experimental data to translate the program capability in tangible Business Value.
Lead the efforts on change management and communications working with a dedicated team in close collaboration with site function leaders.
Responsible for global Stakeholder management across the network to prioritize, review and update scope, escalate risks and ensure alignment on objectives and key milestones
Ensure business partnership to all M&S GBUs as well as CMC Development R&D including quality and regulatory CMC
About You
Experience:
Broad and long-term experience in the chemistry/ biologics/ biochemistry/ pharmaceutical industry in R&D or industrial development with strong global project management capabilities. High interest and working background to digital solutions.

Ability to manage a large matrix organization as well as a team of direct reports

English fluent, additionally French and German is a plus

Technical skills:
Demonstrated experience in running projects requiring change management and transversal collaboration
Proven capabilities to lead a global cross-functional team in a matrix organization; Experience in strategic CMC/development/digital project lead roles;
Demonstrated global exposure and stakeholder management experience
Working experience in process development, CMC and/or production/quality
Education:
PhD/Master's degree in Life Sciences and/or Bioprocess Engineering and/or Chemical Engineering, Pharmacy, Chemistry, biochemistry, bioprocess or related with 10+ years of professional experience in a relevant field.
