Description



Expertise and Functions Director Related Duties: Conduct Business Development for WEPG: Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs Arrange business meetings with prospective clients/customers Promote KIHOMAC's products/services addressing or predicting clients' objectives Prepare proposal responses ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc. Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers, suppliers, and vendors Develop team members into valuable multi-faceted, multi-skilled individuals Seek out and respond to opportunities, solicitations, RFIs, RFPs, White Papers, etc. Create business strategies and propose implementation methods Prepare business plans, budgets, and schedules Ensure managers and team members comply with company and legal requirements Manage, foster, and grow relationships with shareholders Learn and manage top-level programs or multiple smaller programs Develop and implement plans and objectives for the department in an effective and innovative fashion Oversee Wire Harness and Electronics overall performance Maintain compliance with external regulations and internal policies Assess and report progress in meeting department objectives See to department staffing needs (e.g. interviewing, hiring, training, annual evaluations, etc.) Participate in budget development and monitoring of expenses Oversee events and conferences as needed Generate necessary reports for the leadership team; read subordinates' reports Responsible to execute personnel-related activities including but not limited to: Conduct performance reviews Create realistic and accurate job descriptions for your team Direct employee workload to ensure productivity and performance against job description Engage to manage positive employee relations and workplace atmosphere, understanding conflicts with teams and providing solutions Conduct ongoing feedback - both informal and formal, counseling for improvement if necessary Provide recommendations to employee recognition, raises, incentives, promotions, and awards Manage accuracy of employee timecards Oversee employee training for both position and company needs Guide employees to ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies/processes Serve as link between upper management and employees; disseminate company information as appropriate - goals/changes/updates/news Coordinate with fellow Director's and/or VP's on corporate matters Identify/assign priorities based on time constraints and resources available required Meet deliverable deadlines, complete CDRLS, and provide responses in a timely fashion Provide support to Program/Project Managers and Engineering personnel in the areas of project scheduling, data gathering/analyses, database manipulation or population, preparation of technical/project reports or briefings, test plans and reports, and associated documentation, test, or validation/verification assistance Manage/oversee/perform test or project events as assigned and report status/results Manage multiple teams, lead, and assist with On-Aircraft modifications/installations as required Make recommendations for improvements to enhance concept, installation, and maintainability Perform In-Process and Final Quality inspections Produce and inspect assemblies that conform to customer product specifications Assemble, tests, and/or solders as required per customer and/or industry standards Document records identifying compliance with assigned tasks Establish, organize & maintain detailed inventory of gov't, customer and KIHOMAC property Build/assemble units for production according to designs, specifications, and work instructions Modify equipment by adding, removing, or altering components per predetermined processes Develop, update, maintain work instructions, work control documents, and training records Develop/Administer Training on ESD, Soldering, General Wiring Procedures, Harness manufacturing Research/document materials/work-center requirements for bid proposals Maintain accountability and serviceability of all KIHOMAC materials, tools, and test equipment within area of responsibility Ensure proper tools are sourced and used per customer/MFG requirements Communicate with Government leads to ensure contractual needs and concerns are addressed Attend meetings and updates status as required Maintain high ethical/professional standards of performance, demeanor, and judgment always Other manager/director duties as assigned Program Manager Duties: Learn and manage top-level programs or multiple smaller programs with assistance Learn to develop and implement program plans, budgeting positions, schedules, and execution strategy Perform specific, routine program or technical tasks within defined scope of management responsibility Perform program/technical management for assigned system(s) Gain competency in the acquisition process; learn to interpret and apply acquisition policy Apply and correlate knowledge across disciplines (engineering, logistics, financial management, contracting, and configuration management) to achieve program execution in accordance with assigned cost, schedule, and performance requirements Logically and systematically convert customer or product/technical requirements into solutions that recognize technical, schedule, and cost constraints; identify associated risks and manage mitigation plans Provide higher management with status and decision information on program issues Ensure contractual needs/concerns are addressed Ensure timely and accurate submission of all reports/deliverables Participate in company program reviews Communicate cost, schedule, and performance with management Provide necessary solutions, with assistance Other Program Management duties as assigned



Requirements



Frequent and extended duration travel may be required



Education/Training (both required and desired):

  • Bachelor's Degree in technical, business, or related field required.
  • 10-years of direct experience, in addition to required experience below, can be used as an education equivalency for a bachelor's degree.


Experience:
  • U.S. military aircraft maintenance and wiring experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Impeccable negotiation and problem-solving skills required
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and rapport building required
  • 5+ years Program Management or associated experience with Government or Industry required
  • Discipline in wire harness maintenance/build-up and soldering practices required
  • Experience with Leadership/Mgmt. of a team and/or manufacturing environment required
  • Interpretation of manufacturing drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams required
  • Strong working knowledge of performance and operations management
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and quality standards
  • Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office and relational databases and software (e.g. ERP)
  • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to use various hand tools, soldering equipment, and machinery required
  • Wire termination experience using DMC Tools "Daniels Kit" style tools required
  • Able to work cross functionally in other areas as needed
  • Familiarity with USAF TO 1-1A-14 (AKA NAVAIR 01-1A-505-1 or TM 1-1500-323-21-1) required
  • Basic knowledge or understanding of IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC J-STD-001 required



Security:


  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required



Physical Requirements:


  • Frequent and extended duration travel may be required
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking, able to bend, stretch, work with hands, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery
  • Must be able to visually inspect equipment
  • Must be able to wear required safety equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, and respirator as needed
  • Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds
