Summary:

The new Department of Clinical Genomics at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is a novel and innovative cancer-risk medical specialty home to diagnose and provide ongoing precision care for patients and families at high risk of cancer because of their genetics or family history. Our Genetic Counseling service offers genetic counseling and testing. Our Genetic Medicine service oversees and coordinates the medical management of our patients and families, including the latest surveillance and prevention options. Our team currently consists of a physician, two advanced practice providers, three board-certified genetic counselors, and excellent support staff. We are rapidly growing.

The Department of Clinical Genomics is seeking a full-time BC/BE MD, MD/PhD, or DO who has completed ACGME-approved residency training in Med/Peds, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics to join our dynamic team. Experience caring for cancer patients or with cancer genetics is a plus but is not required, as is 3+ years post-specialty training as an independent practitioner.

Reporting to Kenan Onel, MD, PhD, the successful candidate will serve as a key driver of precision prevention and wellness for high-risk patients and families. The candidate will oversee and coordinate ongoing care for both children and adults, taking advantage of the many high-risk specialty clinics at Roswell Park. They will drive clinical innovation, optimize patient care, and enhance the center's reputation as a global leader in cancer risk. There are ample opportunities for professional development and leadership in our Department, such as leading clinical trials, mentoring of students, residents, and fellows, and academic clinical/translational research. Clinical cancer genetics is a fast paced and rapidly evolving field, with plenty of room for growth. It is an excellent opportunity to make a name for yourself.

Salary range is $200,000 - $400,000 which includes a comprehensive benefits package.
