My client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to oversee and manage daily operations at their steel mill facility. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in steel manufacturing, with proven leadership capabilities to ensure the efficient and safe functioning of the site.
This job will have the following responsibilities:
Direct and supervise all aspects of steel mill operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and logistics.
Implement and enforce operational policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and ensure adherence to industry standards.
Responsible for direct interface with customers, vendors, regulatory agencies and other third parties
Financial management of site operations, to include profit & loss responsibility, expense management, capital investment and focus on seeking opportunities for continuous improvement and revenue growth
Qualifications & Requirements:
4+ years of operations management experience in the steel (mill and scrap operations), aggregate, construction or other related industries
Bachelor's degree preferred
Must have experience with preventive maintenance programs and procedures, and industrial safety programs
Experience working in and leading a maintenance department is preferred, to include knowledge of heavy equipment operations
Project management, planning and the ability to develop a business plan
