What Will Your Job Look Like?
The Shop Supervisor will perform compliance and quality inspections on vehicles and facilities in accordance with company and contract requirements. The Shop Supervisor will oversee all vehicle maintenance needs, manage their shift, assign work, monitor work load and technician productivity, other day-to-day vehicle maintenance shift operations, working with dispatch, utility crew, facilities and assisting with parts and other duties as assigned. Shop Supervisor will report to the shop Manager.
Schedule: First Shift-6:00AM-2:30PM Mon-Fri.
What You’ll Do:
Ensure OSHA, DOT, ADA, EPA, State, Federal and Contract expectations are met and compliant
Plan and assign workloads based on scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and daily requirements
Ensure the shop and facilities are kept clean and organized
Responsible for the quality of all areas of repairs thru on the spot corrections and required post repair work inspections
Monitor employee and fleet performance metrics in accordance with the contractual requirements
Ensure customer demands are met by coordinating with the operations to ensure proper availability of revenue vehicles
Prioritize work and assign work ensuring efficiencies and productivity of the technicians
Review and assign work orders from DVIR’s (Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports) daily to technicians
Document all training needs and requirements of the technicians
Assist the Fleet / Facility Manager with the maintenance of the facilities
Identify cost saving opportunities in the fleet operations
Responsible for all mechanical and electrical service, and repair of MTM Transit service vehicles
Responsible for general maintenance and repairs of MTM Transit facilities and grounds
Perform additional duties as assigned or required
What You’ll need:
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
3+ years automotive mechanical experience
Prior supervisory experience in vehicle maintenance preferred
Experience using hand and power tools
Must maintain a valid state applicable driver’s license
Provide own tools to include diagnostic and specialty tools as required if applicable

Proficient in computer skills to ensure electronic repair work orders are completed correctly
Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behavior related to such
Ability to attend safety and vehicle repair courses
Ability to work flexible hours as required
Ability to follow all company policies, procedures, and regulations
Knowledge of gasoline and diesel engine repairs
Automotive courses from automotive institute preferred
Regular attendance is required

Hourly Rate: $35.00 - $40.00
