Aspire Health Alliance, a leader in behavioral health care since 1926, has an exciting new opportunity to join our Training Department. The Learning & Development (L&D) Trainer at Aspire Health Alliance plays a vital role in enhancing the skills and knowledge of staff within the healthcare industry, specifically focusing on behavioral health. This position is integral to ensuring that all compliance requirements are met across various programs and contracts, while also fostering staff development and job satisfaction. The L&D Trainer will report to the Director of Training and Staff Development and will be responsible for a wide range of educational activities. Key responsibilities include developing, implementing, and evaluating training programs, conducting needs assessments in collaboration with program managers, and utilizing a deep understanding of behavioral health to inform training practices. The role also involves researching topics and potential speakers, expanding community mental health education, and leveraging technology to create dynamic and accessible training materials. The L&D Trainer will work with the Relias Learning Management System (LMS) to create curriculum, deliver live training, and manage event recordings. Additionally, the role requires scheduling, marketing, and monitoring live training series events, as well as collaborating with senior staff on various initiatives. The ideal candidate will be adept at using software such as Articulate and Vyond to create animated training content.
Required Skills
Proficiency in instructional design and curriculum development
Strong knowledge of behavioral health and mental illness
Experience with Learning Management Systems, particularly Relias LMS
Ability to conduct comprehensive needs assessments
Competence in using technology to create and deliver training (e.g., Articulate, Vyond)
Excellent project management and presentation skills
Advanced computer skills and comfort with various software and online platforms
Experience with authoring and training software
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
Marketing and event coordination skills
Required Experience
Minimum of two (2) years of related training experience
Background in education, training, or instructional design
Experience in the behavioral health field, with direct client care experience preferred
Proven track record of developing, coordinating, and implementing training initiatives
Experience working with senior level staff on technology initiatives and recording
Experience in creating animated training content
Masters Level or academic degree in Instructional Design, mental health discipline with a training focus, or a similar field
