Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Specimen Accessioning (Storage) position is an excellent entry to gaining experience working in a production laboratory environment, particularly in the area of forensic toxicology. Duties and responsibilities may include archiving and destroying forensic specimens for drugs of abuse testing and assisting with other areas of the receiving area as needed. Specimens include blood, urine, hair, fingernails, and other tissues. The Specimen Technician (Storage) position is an essential and integral role in the delivery of expedient and accurate results to our customers. Specimen Technicians meet daily timelines by working in a team-oriented environment. Opportunities for continued learning and growth in the position and USDTL are available.
