Job Description:

DH Pace Company, Inc., is seeking to hire an Estimator to join our team in Coppell, TX. With minimal supervision, the Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate, timely, and competitive bids for Commercial Industrial Doors and Loading Dock Equipment. This individual will work to support our sales staff, resulting in profitable sales and positive customer relationships. Knowledge and experience in the industry is a prerequisite to perform this role.


Job Responsibilities:



  • Rapidly develops or possess advanced level skills at using DH Pace estimating processes and procedures and utilizing DH Pace estimating software as well as other business software programs. (Excel, BAAN, SAM, SmartSheets, Bluebeam, etc.)

  • Rapidly develops or possesses advanced level knowledge of door and door related products, understanding functionality, special features, usage options as well as pricing variance based on specific job needs.

  • Educates sales team on product options and assist customers in product selection to ensure sale and best project outcome.

  • Perform effective Quote Request Review, Scope Creation, Material List, and Product Selections to generate accurate Project Cost Estimates and Bids.

  • Estimates advanced and complex projects of limited project size, writing all proposals clearly and concisely for review and approval by Manager prior to customer's review.

  • Promote and maintain a positive attitude toward outside contractors, vendors, and individuals within the Company regardless of the circumstances.

  • Understand vendor relationships and build strong relationships with contacts.

  • Ability to work overtime as required.

  • Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Job Requirements:



  • Must have strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.

  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must have excellent customer service skills.

  • Possess strong language, written and mathematical skills.

  • Must be computer literate.  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office desirable.

  • Ability to manage time effectively while sustaining individual and team workloads.
