You will Design varying levels of complex frameworks to support system-wide technical and business architecture requirements.
Define processes for technical platforms, system specifications, and technical and business compatibility.
Identify, analyze and resolve design weaknesses.
Work with management in carrying out strategic initiatives focused on designing, planning, developing and synchronizing strategic technological directives and implementation recommendations.
Direct major, critical and emerging technology studies by assessing merit and impact; designs, develops and establishes architecture standards for the System/FRIT through consulting with business application developers to ensure compliance with established System/FRIT technical architecture designs.
Direct architectural discussions for both a technical and management audience. Partners with our clients and other resources in detecting critical architectural and infrastructure gaps or deficiencies in the IT environment and recommends solutions for improvement.
Direct efforts in analyzing e-business drivers to determine business IT architecture requirement.
Oversee initial project development, system design/testing, requirement direction and investigation of alternatives for implementation of feasible new technology. Provides consultative leadership on System projects focused on planning, development and implementation of strategic technological directives.
Provide senior level technical guidance to other architects assigned to technology studies and implementation projects.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience with a minimum 6 years of relevant work experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
Comprehensive knowledge pertaining to concepts and principles in functional area.
General knowledge of department/business lines, Reserve Banks, and / or System operations, policies, procedures and technologies.
Communications: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, creativity, attention to detail and oral and written communications skills tailored for the intended audience.
Risk Management: Responsible for understanding and applying risk management discipline in decision making and contributing to his or her function`s risk management.
Decision Making: Work under direction and guidance in planning details of procedures and methods to attain definite objectives. Make decisions within established or widely accepted standards. Achieve assigned/planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, training, business principles and practical experience.
Physical Requirements:
Requires some degree of sitting (for prolonged periods of time), standing, lifting carrying, pushing, pulling more than 20 lbs.
May require extended work hours.
Occasional travel including overnight stays may be necessary.
May be subject to on-call and call back as needed.
May be exposed to moderate noise from equipment.

Thesalary gradefor this position is: Grade 17/18. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, and skills, and internal equity and alignment with market data.
