SUMMARY



Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a qualified Shareholder Technician II in Nome, AK This position performs duties to include, maintaining the records, scanning and adding data into the computer, filing as necessary, responding to shareholder inquires via phone calls, emails and in writing and any other type duties assigned.

Responsibilities




ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintaining records such as address changes, name changes, age of majority.
  • Gifting transfers
  • Maintaining the monthly Stock Will drive project and assisting shareholders with filling out their Wills.
  • Responding to shareholder correspondence through writing and telephone.
  • Weekly scanning
  • Assisting with BSNC annual meetings.
  • Assisting village corporations with village print outs
  • Research and processing data of deceased stock transfers
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications


  • High School diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) Certificate
  • A minimum of two years experience in typing and general office practice




Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics


  • Computer skills including knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (MS) MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook
  • Must have proficient writing skills; be highly organized and able to work with minimal guidance
  • Must be task oriented, self motivated and have the inherent ability to multi-task, work under pressure, meet deadlines and work as a team-player
  • Excellent attention to details - the ability to be at work consistently and predictably.
  • Phone and person to person etiquette

WORK ENVIRONMENT



Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.


The job is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work described herein is primarily in a modern office setting. Occasional travel may be required.



SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • No supervisory responsibilities.


ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS



As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
