Job Summary:

The Children’s Coordinator at RiverValley Behavioral Health plays a key role in supporting the mental health and developmental needs of children and adolescents. This position involves coordinating services, collaborating with families, schools, and healthcare providers, and ensuring that children receive comprehensive care tailored to their specific needs. The Children’s Coordinator will oversee the delivery of therapeutic services and case management, ensuring compliance with program goals and regulatory requirements.

Essential Functions:

  1. Coordinate and manage comprehensive behavioral health services for children and adolescents.
  2. Develop individualized care plans, working with clinicians, families, and other stakeholders.
  3. Serve as a liaison between RiverValley Behavioral Health, schools, community resources, and families.
  4. Assess the needs of children and families to develop appropriate treatment plans.
  5. Monitor and evaluate progress of treatment plans, ensuring goals are met.
  6. Coordinate referrals to internal and external resources such as medical care, counseling, and social services.
  7. Advocate for the mental health needs of children within educational and community settings.
  8. Provide support and education to families regarding available services, care options, and behavioral health strategies.
  9. Address any barriers to care, working with stakeholders to remove obstacles for families.
  10. Ensure all services are delivered in compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as agency policies.
  11. Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions, treatment progress, and service outcomes.
  12. Prepare reports and data related to program outcomes and client services.
  13. Facilitate collaboration between therapists, case managers, schools, healthcare providers, and other community partners.
  14. Act as a point of contact for clients and families to ensure they receive comprehensive support.
  15. Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Nursing, or a related field.
  2. Previous experience working in addiction treatment, particularly with MAT, is strongly preferred.
  3. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  4. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  5. Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to MAT programs.
