This position is the senior operations coordinator for our operations on dayshift, afternoon shift, or midnight shift. This position is to handle GM account specifically in our Operations group and reports to the GM account Manager. This position is responsible for handling all operational activity related to GM Mexico and/or GM Domestic business, protecting established service specs/metrics for the delivery of parts to their assembly plants.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities:
Multi task by assisting operations coordinators with other accounts besides GM
Follow up on GM Assembly plants that he/she is responsible for and that they are covered from a delivery perspective, but also to assist others with GM related issues.
Assist in being a mentor to other new operations coordinators and/or work with other operations coordinators on any training shortfalls. This would include any new processes that need to be implemented.
Follow up on documentation requirements that are needed to be scanned into the GTG operating system.
Assist GM Account Manager on deliveries to GM Plants that will be late. Making sure that all communication has been completed with railroads and dray carriers on all of the action items they need to take to help recover any lost time in transit.
Assist GM Account Manager on Communication to GM LLP: Penske and/or Ryder OMC, along with all GM Plant Operational personnel to make sure that any delays have been communicated, including revised ETAs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications:
Experiences: Transportation experience. Intermodal operations and equipment control experience preferred
Skills and Abilities:
Working Knowledge of Microsoft Suite Applications
Ability to multi task
Demonstrated ability to effectively work through conflict and disagreement through collaborative discussion to reach positive conclusions or decisions.
Ability to work effectively in a diverse work group.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to interact successfully with a diverse group of people
Language Skills: English fluency required. Spanish a plus.

The typical starting salary range for this position is: $43,043 - $56,135
The actual salary offer will take into account multiple factors including skills, experience, education and location. Please note that the salary details listed in role postings reflect the base salary only, not total compensation, which includes bonus and benefits.
