Provides supportive services necessary for the unit operations so that optimal quality care can be delivered. Works under the supervision of the Nurse Manager performing essential non-clinical administrative functions on one or more units. Performs fiscal management, inventory/stock control, documentation, charge entry, and record keeping, serving as a liaison with other department as well as performing general clerical tasks. Position located at University Hospital.
Required Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED. Certification or vocational training may be preferred.
1 year of relevant experience required. 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred.
Six months experience (600 hours training) using computers to generate a variety of materials ranging from basic to complex;
6 mos. experience (600 hrs course work) in office practices and procedures;
6 months experience (600 hours course work) in customer service.
