Texas Biomed is searching for a Painter to support our Facilities team. This position is responsible for painting walls, equipment, buildings, and other structural surfaces on Texas Biomed campus, using brushes, rollers, and spray guns. Will be responsible for completing work orders with scheduled deadlines and maintaining a safe and clean working environment at all times.


The Role:

· Prepares site for the application of coatings by laying drip cloths, masking to protect adjacent surfaces, furniture and equipment. May also remove fixtures from walls before the application of coating.

· Prepares surfaces for the application of coatings using sandpaper, wire brushes, or steel wool and paint strippers, scrapers, and power washers.

· Ensures all paints used match specified color

· Erects scaffolding and sets up ladders to work above ground level.

· Thoroughly cleans and maintains power and hand tools used in work.

· Touches up or repaints within and outside all buildings when directed.

· Applies stenciled lettering or decorations by spray or brush on surfaces, when required.

· Requires three (3) years of job specific experience.

OTHER: This position operates on a rotating 10 hour/4-day work schedule. Working hours are 7am to 6pm. Occasional weekend work, holidays and overtime will be required.
