Position Overview:

ANSER is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Management Consultant to support a federal program in cybersecurity planning, analysis, development, and promulgation of cybersecurity strategies. In this role you will support various components of the Department of Defense (DoD) Chief Information Office (CIO) including policy and strategy development, implementation, integration, cyber hygiene, workforce planning and strategy, international cybersecurity programs, and risk management oversight.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Serve as cybersecurity subject matter expert for policy, compliance, planning and analysis of programs and strategies.
  • Provide advanced technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and operational environment, high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, training, and implementation advice on complex cybersecurity challenges.
  • Design and prepare technical reports, studies, and related documentation, providing charts and graphs to record results, prepare and deliver presentations, training, and briefings.
  • Assess the operational and functional baseline of the program and its organizational components.
  • Work with senior leaders and stakeholders to provide industry vision and strategic direction as it relates to cybersecurity policy, planning and strategy.
  • Guide the determination of inadequacies and/or deficiencies that affect ability to support/meet organizational goals.
  • Participate in account strategy sessions, strategic assessments, and design reviews to validate enterprise approach and associated work products.
  • Research and apply cybersecurity expertise to technical projects, finding innovative, cost-effective options and solutions for improvement and efficiencies.
  • Provide research, engineering, technical, and managerial direction for problem definition, analysis, requirement development, and implementation for complex systems.
  • Develop, conduct, and evaluate new approaches to meet technical requirements faster and more efficiently.
  • Make recommendations and advises on research development, improvements, optimization, or support efforts.
  • Performs risk assessments and innovative use of new research concepts or improved techniques and procedures.
  • Develop and implement new research objectives, establish project priorities, define methods of approach, and execute research studies.
  • Provide scientific conclusions and interpretations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or other similarly related field.
    • Will consider Bachelor's degree with an additional four (4) years relevant and practical experience for a total of 14 year's experience.
  • Ten (10) or more years progressive relevant experience providing government or defense agencies decision support, analysis, technical program support related to cybersecurity and/or systems engineering and supporting cybersecurity, technology programs.
  • Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of cybersecurity standards and policies.
  • Knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) acquisition programs, systems and infrastructure.
  • Previous experience presenting or briefing high level stakeholders, military officials and policy makers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CEH or others.
  • PMP certification
