SUMMARY

Responsible for all Regional and Zone initiatives related to improving the financial results for our retailers and ensuring that the District teams review areas to improve results in their regular retailer contacts. Maintains brand standards and assists with responsibilities for all functions relating to current and prospective retailers' qualifications, requirements, and minimum standards for all Regional and Zone initiatives to strengthen the retailer body including filling open points, upgrading poor performers, and maintaining current retailer agreements.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Ensures accurate, timely financial statement submission from all Regional retailers.
  • Trains Region and Zone personnel on analysis of financial data and financial statement, Loss Retailer Report, and I-Exam.
  • Works with Zones and District teams to identify financially challenged retailers, address loss and low-profit retailers, and recommend appropriate actions to prevent losses.
  • Trains new personnel in the Zone Retailer Development and Regional Retailer Operations positions.
  • Reviews the documents from the retailers required for new retailers, retailer ownership/management changes, retailer relocations, and retailer terminations.
  • Ensures that retailer packages are complete and in compliance with required or minimum standards.
  • Assists with managing the re-franchising process to keep all dealer agreements current.
  • Reads and reviews legal documents and coordinates with Legal department, following up as needed.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyzes and communicates monthly vehicle sales and registration reports including SOSA and MSR; trains and ensures proper use by Field personnel for positive market impact and growth
  • Acts as the liaison to the Zones and Field teams for Subaru's Eco Friendly, Energy Star Portfolio Manager, and Subaru Service Loaner Program (SSLP) programs.
  • Manages, tracks, and communicates all facility funding program statuses to Zones, reviews payment request for accuracy and compliance, and submits payment requests to SOA.
  • Completes ad hoc projects for Regional Vice President (RVP) and Regional Market Development Manager (RMDM).

  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to counsel a retailer who is experiencing financial difficulties.
  • Discretion at managing confidential situations and information.
  • Strong financial/accounting training skills.
  • Tolerance of situational stress.
  • Strong computer skills including knowledge of financial systems.
  • Excellent at managing and adapting to change.
  • Ability to learn new software tools quickly and ability to train field personnel.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 4-Year College Degree (BA, BS) and 8-10 years' experience

WORK ENVIRONMENT


  • Required Travel: 25% travel required
  • Lifting up to 25 lbs
  • Air travel and long driving trips required

COMPENSATION: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $89400 - $127600 / year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
