The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for prospecting, engaging and qualifying leads in order to identify potential customers. The BDR will then set up meetings with the appropriate inside or outside sales rep after vetting them. This role will work heavily in SalesForce, both on lead development as well as capturing and analyzing data on unqualified leads to help recommend lead generation modifications as needed. This role will work across all products and segments in the organization.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO:


  • Familiarize yourself with Leica's products and understand why our customers buy from us.

  • Learn how to qualify leads and conduct effective discovery calls that drive forward customer opportunity.

  • Conduct a high volume of phone calls daily focusing on qualifying leads from lead generation to potential sales opportunities.

  • Ask engaging questions to learn about the businesses of potential customers to help recommend the appropriate hardware and/or software solution.

  • Speak knowledgably and engagingly about our hardware and software solutions, answering questions and providing relevant information related to inquiries.

  • Schedule qualified leads with appropriate inside or outside sales representative for virtual or in-person demos and appointments.

  • Document all activity (emails, phone calls) and notes in salesforce.com.

  • Partner and work with inside and outside sales representatives in all segments, creating relationships and building trust.

  • Collaborate with sales and marketing team members on strategic sales approach.

  • Provide marketing managers with feedback and insights to improve effectiveness of lead generation programs.

  • Consistently meet or exceed quota.
