Job Description:

Essential Duties:


  • Prepares, negotiates, and assesses contracts on behalf of the organization for the purchase of products or services

  • Negotiates contractual terms and conditions on behalf of the organization to prevent potential disputes and financial risk

  • Analyzes contract clauses, stipulations, obligations and liabilities

  • Recommends contract provisions and amendments as needed

  • Ensures contracts are in compliance with internal policies and applicable laws/regulations

  • Reviews contract submissions for accuracy and completeness

  • Ensures required management approvals are received prior to contract execution

  • Analyzes lease vs. purchase options and performs cost analysis

  • Assists with the development of Request for Proposals

  • Responsible for vendor relationships and assists in building effective partnerships to ensure vendor alignment to company strategy and goals

  • Responsible for terminating contracts in accordance with contractual obligations and maintaining supporting documentation in repository

  • Coordinates with internal departments and vendors as necessary

  • Coordinates with Accounts Payable department to set up new vendors as needed

  • Maintains digital records of contracts and supporting documentation in repository

  • Responsible for administration of contract database to include review of weekly report of expiring contracts to determine appropriate next steps

  • Meets with Procurement Manager and CFO on a regular basis to discuss contracts

  • Performs other duties as assigned


Salary:

Annual salary rate begins at $66,079.00. Mid range at $82,599.00. Actual starting rate will be commensurate with experience and education.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree in business management or related field required. Minimum of 2 years' experience in a contract analyst or related role. In lieu of bachelor's degree, must have a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of 4 years' experience in contract management.

Language Ability:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret data, reports and publications, professional journals, and governmental regulations. Ability to speak effectively and respond to questions from diverse audiences.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret contractual terms and conditions.

Certificates and Licenses:

Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) preferred.

Computer Skills:

Demonstrates working knowledge of the Internet, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Accounting software, and Purchasing software.

Other:

Ability to drive and have access to a car, maintain a valid driver's license and auto liability insurance.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is exposed to an office environment and community settings having direct contact people on a regular basis.
