Job Summary:Within the division of Student Services, the Coordinator of Special Population's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting special populations students to help them reach their educational goals by working closely with them to select courses, identify strengths, choose a major, act as a resource until the student graduates, and assist the division to accomplish institutional goals and objectives. This position will provide support and offer services to Special Populations students, which include disabled, single parent or parents of children under the age of 18, displaced homemakers, and economically disadvantage students. The Special Populations Coordinator will also coordinate efforts with an academic department and career services to provide assistance with retaining students until graduation, transfer, and job placement.
