The Division of Translational Medicine and Human Genetics in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure research track. Expertise is required in the specific area of translational genomics in African ancestry populations. Applicants must have an M.D. and/or Ph.D degree.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include developing collaborative and independent research programs related to human genetics, co-supervision of postdoctoral fellows, students, and research staff, coordinating NIH-funded grant efforts with local, national, and international collaborators or independently, and active leadership in writing grants, reports, and manuscripts. The selected candidate will participate in the Penn Medicine Biobank/Undiagnosed disease program.
The Division of Translational Medicine and Human Genetics comprises clinical and research faculty with diverse investigative interest and close affiliations with clinical department at Penn Medicine as well as the neighboring Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Wistar Institute.
