Job Summary
Support the classrooms, instructors and courses of the School for Social Work academic and professional development programs.
Essential Functions
Reporting to the Manager of Faculty Support, the Faculty Support Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of SSW degree programs by providing comprehensive back-end administrative and clerical support for classrooms, instructors, and courses. This position involves managing and coordinating essential tasks such as scheduling, organizing course materials, and maintaining accurate records across the year. By handling these critical behind-the-scenes responsibilities, the Faculty Support Coordinator enables degree program instructors to focus on delivering high-quality education while ensuring that classroom operations run efficiently and effectively. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule upon approval of the Manager of Faculty Support. The incumbent must work on campus and in person from April through August to provide in person support for faculty, and coordinate with other in-person offices. Provide technical and administrative support for classrooms, courses, and instructors for academic programs including Practicum education courses, Professional Education, and Teaching and Learning institute.
Areas of Responsibility
Provide technical and administrative support for classrooms, courses, and instructors for academic programs including Practicum education courses, Professional Education, and Teaching and Learning institute:
Prepare documents for the Faculty Curriculum Committee under the direction of the Manager of Faculty Support
Work with course syllabi, gradebooks and rubrics in Moodle
Create, set up, and assist in faculty hosted Zoom meetings, including faculty votes
Assist faculty with using college resources to create classroom materials
Maintain and update pertinent information for faculty on various platforms and websites
Provide support for faculty in person and virtual trainings and lectures, including the faculty onboarding programming
Provide support for simulation learning with the Coordinator of the office of the dean
Assist the Manager of Faculty Support Systems with the instructor contracting process and provide logistical back up:
Maintain and develop an adjunct hiring pool, CV database, schedule interviews, and check references
Assist with the contract creation process, review and co-maintain the hiring process for adjunct faculty
Provide support and triage for emerging queries and questions in a timely manner (including creating and maintaining faculty information, email share outs, etc.
Work with the Manager of Faculty Support to review Summer procedures/processes, gather adjunct feedback, and create and report findings to Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, curriculum committee and others
Work with the Manager of Faculty Support and Operations Manager to to ensure clear communication to faculty about their housing assignments
Work with other related staff on the formatting and editing of course materials:
Support the library reserves team on course reserves
Complete copyright requests for required course materials
Assist faculty with desk copy and other required material requests
Submit textbook materials to the campus bookstore

High school education or equivalent and three years of relevant experience or the equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Familiarity with Google Suite and Microsoft Suite required
Familiarity with Moodle, Courseleaf, Workday, Docusign, PollEverywhere, Qualtrics preferred
Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively, to be precise and detail oriented, take initiative and responsibility, resolve problems, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to communicate and work cooperatively with all levels of a diverse organization
