About the Role:
The VP, Information Technology is responsible for planning, coordinating, directing, and designing all operational activities of the IT infrastructure, as well as providing direction and support for IT solutions that enhance mission-critical business operations. This position collaborates directly with leadership across the Credit Union to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization. Develops and manages infrastructure and application portfolios for each department and attains all IT service level agreements for the user community within the Credit Union. Provides vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Leads IT strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT systems across the Credit Union.
Develops and maintains an appropriate IT organizational structure that supports the needs of the business. Assesses and makes recommendations on the improvement or re-engineering of the IT organization. Supervises recruitment, development, retention, and organization of all IT staff in accordance with corporate budgetary objectives and personnel policies.
Establishes IT departmental goals, objectives, and operating procedures.
Establishes lines of control for current and proposed information systems.
Directs development and execution of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
Identifies opportunities for the appropriate and cost-effective investment of financial resources in IT systems and resources, including staffing, sourcing, purchasing, and in-house development. Assesses and communicates risks associated with IT investments. Develops business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
Coordinates and facilitates consultation with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations. Reviews hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts and pursue master agreements to capitalize on economies of scale.
Keeps current with trends and issues in the IT industry, including current technologies and prices. Advises, counsels, and educates executives and management on their competitive or financial impact.
Ensures continuous delivery of IT services through oversight of service level agreements with end users and monitoring of IT systems performance.
Defines and communicates corporate plans, policies, and standards for the Credit Union for acquiring, implementing, and operating IT systems.
Approves, prioritizes, and controls projects and the project portfolio as they relate to the selection, acquisition, development, and installation of major information systems.
Promotes and oversees strategic relationships between internal IT resources and external entities, including government, vendors, and partner organizations.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Considerable knowledge of business theory, business processes, management, budgeting, and business office operations.
Substantial exposure to data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software applications, and outsourced systems, including AWS, Azure.
Good understanding of computer systems' characteristics, features, and integration capabilities.
Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through day-to-day management.
Proven experience in IT planning, organization, and development.
Excellent understanding of project management principles.
Superior understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems.
In-depth knowledge of applicable laws and regulations as they relate to IT.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field, or equivalent experience, required. Master's degree preferred. CISO security certification preferred. Minimum 10 years related work experience, required. Minimum 5 years experience managing and/or directing an IT organization, required. Previous financial industry experience, required.
SUPERVISORY STATUS
This position supervises others and is responsible for being results oriented, collaborative, delegates effectively, and embraces the organization's core values, ensuring team effectiveness.
Working conditions
This position will be required to work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, and, with or without reasonable accommodation is required:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a minimum of 75% of the time.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machines.
The person in this position frequently communicates with peers, supervisors, vendors and employees to exchange accurate information and answer questions.
Works in an indoor office environment but expected to attend meetings in buildings that require travel in outdoor weather conditions.
Salary Range: $166,105.75 to $210,000 depending on experience
Bonus Target: 15% potential incentive of base pay
