Description
The Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) Analyst will collect, manage, analyze, interpret, and transform data into accurate, consistent, and timely information, while balancing the "big picture" departmental strategic vision with day-to-day details. In addition, the CDI Analyst will provide front line support to the customer community and assists with special projects specific to the Clinical Documentation Improvement department.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop analysis and reporting capabilities, monitors, and provides reports on employee productivity, department metrics, CMI analysis for trending per facility and service lines, and will support various daily, monthly, and annual analysis functions.
•Provides monthly and quarterly data analysis reports to CDI leadership.
•Assists with compilation of CDI dashboards.
• Compile, validate and interpret data using statistical techniques to identify areas for improvement.
•Provide timely and accurate reporting to support departmental decision making and to communicate observed issues to CDI Leadership.
•Work with CDI leadership to prioritize business and information needs.
• Conduct full lifecycle analysis of process improvements and educational efforts to identify department and individual employee improvements.
•Collaborate with other Health System departments (HIM, Physician Advisors, Quality, Population Health, Ambulatory Services, Clinical Optimization, etc.) as necessary to assist with projects specific to CDI.
•Develops and implements project plans to implement revised and new software functionality.
•Troubleshoots and resolves issues with CDI applications.
•Operates to support continuous process improvement both departmentally and organizationally.
•Focus on technical education which allows for enhanced systems functionality and processes.
•Supports exceptional customer service delivery to physicians, patients, hospital staff, HIM staff, vendors and all other customers in a timely and appropriate manner.

documentation, coding and billing.
•Knowledge of and experience with handling electronic medical records.
•Working knowledge of a clinical documentation improvement department functions.
•Experience in working with international classification of diseases (ICD) code sets.
•Proficiency with the use of computer- based applications and Microsoft Office Programs.
•Experience with Epic and Clintegrity CDI/360 encoder software preferred.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Baccalaureate degree in either health information management, health care administration, technical communications, mathematics, financing, business, computer science or related field preferred.
•Minimum 2 years of healthcare data analysis experience required.
Required Licensure/Certification Skills:
• RHIT preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
PAY RANGE: $60,500.00 - $80,000.00
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
