We are seeking a O365 Cloud Engineer who will work closely with other infrastructure teams, profit centers, service desks and level 2 and 3 Microsoft 365 support staff. We are looking for an individual that will come in and serve as a subject matter expert contributing to a wide variety of projects in support of the enterprise workplace and collaborations roadmap. This role will provide technical guidance in planning and implementing new solutions while ensuring existing platforms remain stable. It will be working in collaboration with senior leadership and reports to the IT Systems Engineering Lead.

Primary Responsibilities :


  • Administer and engineer aspects of Microsoft Office 365 products and Entra (Azure AD) including Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Power Platform, Conditional Access, MFA, Enterprise applications, and related technologies.

  • Analyze technical needs, document requirements, design and implement technical solutions for Microsoft 365.

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for administering and troubleshooting Exchange Online.

  • Provide troubleshooting steps and operational documentation to Level 1/2 support team.

  • Integrate solutions into existing infrastructure, consult on development projects, deploy solutions that meet business and technical requirements.

  • Ability to write and execute PowerShell scripts and commands.

  • Review current technologies, tools, and services and make recommendations for their use based on security/compliance, financial, and operational criteria.

  • Understanding of Microsoft licensing SKUs/models and deployment best practices.

  • Assist cyber security investigations and contribute to providing audit proof of operations.

  • Evaluate, test, and install critical updates on a regular basis.

  • Detect and troubleshoot to solve technical problems.

  • Document monthly metrics for cloud operations.


Required Qualifications:

  • 5 + years' experience in system and 3+ years' cloud engineering is considered a subject matter expert in messaging/office 365 and Teams.

  • Accountable for successful completion of multiple, individual projects simultaneously.

  • Communicate effectively by contributing significantly to the development and delivery of a variety of written and visual documents for diverse audiences.

  • Manage change and demonstrate adaptability by embracing change and adjusting priorities or processes and approach as needs dictate.

  • Work independently as a team representative in the allocated region as well as show excellent teamwork skills.

  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Available for occasional travel (less than 20%).


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in information systems, computer science, business administration or related field

  • Microsoft Certification(s)

The salary range is $85,000 - $135,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.

Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are also entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings' fringe benefits consisting of healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, and disability coverages at rates determined from time to time as well as a 401(k) retirement plan. Provided the eligibility requirements are met, employees will also receive a discretionary contribution to their 401(k) from Alvarez & Marsal. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave.
