ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:

The Monica Wooden Center for Supply Chain Management resides in the School of Marketing and Innovation at USF's Muma College of Business. In addition to cutting edge undergraduate, graduate, and continuing education programs in Supply Chain Management, the School of Marketing & Innovation offers programs in Marketing, Sales, Entrepreneurship, and Global Business. The Supply Chain Management program boasts a 100% placement rate for its graduates at salaries among the highest in the Muma College of Business.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director of Outreach for the Monica Wooden Center for Supply Chain Management & Sustainability is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring outreach programs for the Center and other initiatives as assigned. A major part of the Director of Outreach's responsibilities is securing the resources necessary for fulfilling the mission of the Center. This individual will establish and maintain key relationships with industry partners, ensure that bridges are built between the supply chain industry and the Muma College of Business, solicit external funding, develop policy for managing resources in accordance with the strategic priorities and budget requirements of the center. The Director of Outreach will collaborate with related faculty to plan and execute student-focused programs that connect students with the supply chain management industry, while managing administrative tasks for the Center.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist in developing, implementing , and monitoring the strategic plan for the Center. Identify goals, strategic priorities, and performance objectives for all related projects and activities.

Cultivate collaborative relationships with key stakeholders in the supply chain industry across the state of Florida including representatives from industry, government, non­ governmental associations, and higher education . Negotiate desired outcomes and related activities with stakeholders to arrive at mutually beneficial relationships that support the advancement of Florida's supply chain industry and the supply chain and related programs in the Muma College of Business. This includes generating donations from industry partners to support and sustain Center operations over the long-term.

Liaison with faculty, administrators, development officers and external industry partners to determine and reconcile the needs of these constituencies in supporting the growth of the center and the supply chain program .

Collaborate with faculty, students , and staff to determine activities with the greatest impact on student success . Engage business partners with student success initiatives such as job shadowing, mentoring, delivering classroom lectures, coaching, and/or providing field trips to support internship and job placement for supply chain students and, thereby, support the development of the talent pipeline for Florida's supply chain industry .

Recruit, develop, supervise , and evaluate staff and graduate assistants assigned to support Monica Wooden Center activities .

Build the reputation of the USF and the supply chain program by participating in meetings of regional and national supply chain management organizations . Coordinate efforts to secure national ranking for the supply chain program . Oversee the development of promotional materials including brochures, flyers , website, and social media . Other duties as assigned .

Relative to the strategic plan, develop, implement and monitor budget for the Center on an annual basis . Prepare annual reports for the Muma College of Business, USF Foundation, University of South Florida, and the Board of Governors .

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

MINIMUM:

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in a field directly related to the program responsibilities and seven years of professional experience; or Master's degree and five years of professional experience.

FLSB1310 Equivalency:

4 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree.
6 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for master's degree.

PREFERRED:
Minimum 15 years of executive experience with global supply chain management in respected companies, along with significant sales experience and established network of senior-level industry contacts.

SPECIAL SKILLS/TRAINING:

Ability to determine needs of stakeholders; keeping abreast of the changing industry and related technologies. Recognized expertise is required to establish relationships statewide to promote supply chain management industry.
