Be aware of responsibilities and accountability as clearly defined for key staff involved with product safety, legality, and quality systems
Understand job ticket information to determine quantity, special work instructions, and any other special customer requirements
Determine the best manufacturing method to produce product efficiently and effectively
Verify job specifications such as size, color and type of paper and color of ink from job order
Obtain substrate and related supplies needed to produce job
Set up press according to established company guidelines, safety and job requirements
Print proof sheets to check press setup
Adjust and/or correct color when needed using press setup, Photoshop, Illustrator, or Press Touch to achieve company and customer satisfaction
Print job maintaining optimum production rate, color density, registration, and quality standard within company and customer guidelines, and make press adjustments as required
Maintain high efficiency according to established rates during operation of the assigned equipment Select and maintain a file of approved press sheets of all jobs for future reference
Troubleshoot and make decisions regarding the quality of finished product
Complete required quality inspections and paperwork
Work with peers and other departments to improve quality and performance
Play an active role in the maintenance and cleanliness of the assigned press and surrounding area Understand department communication systems, schedules, time/attendance system and job reporting requirements
Actively participate in lean manufacturing initiatives
Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors
