Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pulmonary Treatment Nurse RN to join our team at our Skilled Nursing Facility. The ideal candidate will provide specialized care to patients with pulmonary conditions, ensuring their respiratory health needs are met in accordance with established protocols and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer respiratory treatments and therapies to patients as prescribed by physicians
Monitor and assess patients' pulmonary conditions, including vital signs, oxygen levels, and respiratory function
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans
Educate patients and families about respiratory care, treatment options, and proper use of medical equipment (e.g., nebulizers, oxygen therapy)
Ensure accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and progress in medical records
Participate in care conferences and contribute to patient care planning
Maintain infection control standards and ensure a clean and safe environment for patients
Respond to emergencies and provide appropriate care as needed
Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines
Qualifications:
Valid RN license in California
Previous experience in pulmonary care or respiratory therapy preferred
Knowledge of respiratory treatments, equipment, and procedures
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends if needed
