Job Description Summary

Follow and maintain standard procedures for Supervision of Desire Kitchen. Ordering for functions, maintaining food cost and inventory. Maintain quality, presentation, and consistency of food.

Job Description

Principle duties and responsibilities

Key Job Functions:


  • Stay informed of menu item preparations

  • Monitor payroll and make schedule adjustments to ensure maximum productivity

  • Check current menu pricing and collaborate with Executive Chef and F&B Management to ensure optimal food cost is maintained

  • Assign and delegate tasks

  • Assist with holiday specials and promotions

  • Work any kitchen position when needed

  • Cover the Sous Chef days off when needed

  • Any other duties assigned by Executive Chef/Sous Chef

  • Build solid relationship with your Colleagues

  • Treat colleagues with respect and dignity

  • Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other Team Members

  • Deliver Passionate & Engaging Service to our Guests

  • You will be passionate and truly engaged in taking care of our guests, recognizing individual guests and anticipating their unique needs in order to exceed their expectations

  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. The employee is expected to work in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations to perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description.

  • You will consistently deliver our GUEST model:


    • Greet or welcome everyone, warmly with a smile


    • Use eye and ear contact and guest's name


    • Establish/anticipate needs


    • Solve and own all requests/complaints


    • Thank everyone



Qualifications and Skills

A candidate for this position must possess the following applicable knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to demonstrate and provide applicable examples to support his/her competency.


  • Classical knowledge and experience with local specialties.

  • Familiar with general cooking and all aspects of food prep.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
