Manufacturing Planner / Scheduler III
Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Production Planner to join our team. You will have the opportunity to drive world-class production planning processes, contributing to our mission of making the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. Responsibilities include coordinating and optimizing production schedules, ensuring efficient resource utilization, and maintaining accurate inventory levels. Must have a strong understanding of production planning processes and a proven track record of meeting production targets while upholding quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain production schedules that align with customer demands, inventory levels, and production capacity.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, operations, and logistics to ensure timely and efficient production and delivery.
Supervise inventory levels and initiate production orders to replenish stock as needed.
Use sophisticated Excel skills to analyze and interpret production data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize production processes.
Proactively identify and resolve any production-related issues or bottlenecks to minimize disruptions and optimize workflow efficiency.
Monitor and analyze production performance metrics, such as cycle time, efficiency, and capacity utilization, to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure accurate and timely release of production plans and bills of materials.
Stay updated on industry trends, standard methodologies, and technological advancements in production planning and suggest process improvements as necessary.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in Production Planning, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in using ERP systems, specifically SAP, to handle and update production data.
Excellent Excel skills, including sophisticated formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with abstract information.
Diligent with a high level of accuracy in data management and reporting.
Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proven track record to prioritize and balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and deliver results.
