The Role
Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, or optical areas. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions. Exclude technicians working in Production or Quality Assurance. Specific to this position: Provides technical support and troubleshooting on yardwide control engineering systems. Position will assist engineering staff and Subject Matter Experts (SME) to maintain, repair and troubleshoot electrical control systems associated with equipment, complex machinery, utility infrastructure, building operating systems and submarine delivery/transport systems. Requires specialized experience with the specification and design of total controls package systems, relay interfaces, programmable logic controls (PLC). Human machine interfaces (HMI), logic development, ability to apply program source codes, robotics/automation and develop/review/update/archive AutoCAD drawings. Position requires the ability to read and produce electrical schematics.
Must Have
Associate's Degree and 3 years of relevant experience
