Texas Biomed is searching for an Administrative Assistant I to help support a new team focused on training the next generation of TB researchers! This new role will assist with day-to-day administrative duties for the grant as outlined below. This is a grant-funded position estimated to be completed in 2027.


The Role:

· Attend and facilitate project meetings including IT and Facilities support, food/beverages, etc

· Update internal and external websites regularly including calendar events and photos, etc

· Develop, create and distribute monthly newsletters

· Prepare monthly core lead meeting agendas

· Assist core leads with class scheduling

· Curate annual report throughout the year

· Schedule presenters for recurrent sessions

· Create and distribute event reminders (flyers)

· Recruit new participants for the cores

· Tracking participant involvement in cores


Our Ideal Candidate:

Requires a high school diploma or GED, Associate's Degree preferred

Requires at least 1 year job specific experience, 3 years' experience preferred

Must have well-developed organizational skills

Computer knowledge, to include Microsoft Office experience required
