The Center for Gifted Education is a learning community that values and fosters the talent development process and optimal functioning of high-ability individuals over their life span.
The Summer Camp Coordinator will work in coordination with the Program Coordinator and the Administrative Operations Specialist to plan, organize and implement the Center for Gifted Education's summer programs. From August-June in a part-time role at 20 hours per week to assist with planning and preparations of the summer programs. From June 1-15, the incumbent will be moved to a 35 hour per week role as the Center prepares for the start of the summer residential programs. At the start of the programs, around mid-June, the position will become a residential position where the incumbent will be working 18 hours a day for the duration of the programs.
This position reports to the Director of Precollegiate Learner Programs in the Center for Gifted Education at William & Mary. The Summer Camp Coordinator will work closely with the Program leadership, other Resident Advisors, and On-site Program Coordinators to ensure that the infrastructure is in place to support the program and ensure all policies and procedures are being adhered to.

* All hourly employees are subject to the limitations of the Virginia Manpower Control Program and total hours worked may not exceed, on average, 29 hours per week, over the course of a twelve-month period beginning May 1 each year.
* This is a non-exempt position, eligible to receive overtime in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act. This position may be subject to overtime during high peak times, etc. as directed and approved by the supervisor.
* This is a restricted position, subject to the continued availability of funding.
