The Division of Translational Medicine and Human Genetics in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician-educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of genomic medicine and/or genetics counseling. Applicants must have a PhD and/or MD degree.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include engaging in funded research involving human genetics, genomic medicine, implementation science in genomics, return of actionable genomic results, or ethical/legal/social implications (ELSI) of genomics research. Evidence of scholarship is required in the Clinician Educator track.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching genetic counseling students, medical students, residents, and fellows, serving as a research mentor to MSGC students and genetic counselors, and potentially participating in the leadership of Penn's MSGC program.
Clinical responsibilities may include seeing patients in the outpatient setting and/or an inpatient consult service.
