Major/Essential Functions
The primary purpose of this position is to direct the daily administrative activities of the F. Marie Hall Institute for Rural and Community Health Workforce Development Group and the AHEC Program. This includes tracking programmatic progress, managing grant activities, and overseeing staff. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Will provide direction for the assessment and evaluation of the AHEC program.
Build relationships with contract agents, personnel, and stakeholders regarding Institute/Program activities.
Assists with the monitoring of program activities and facilitates effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Contributes to reports and summaries of activities, grant-sponsored research and scheduling.
Assists with oversight of day-to-day operations of the WTAHEC program and the supervisory oversight of staff members.
Contributes to preparing abstracts, research reports, funding proposals, and other written documentation as required.
Assures that projects comply with all regulatory requirements.
Travel as needed to meet the goals and objectives of the WTAHEC program or other grant activities.

Preferred Qualifications
Graduate degree in public health is preferred.
Experience managing grant funded programs.
Ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders including schools and other community organizations.
Familiarity with operating learning management systems (LMS).
Ability to use Microsoft Office and other tools to assist in compiling and analyzing data for reporting and publications.
